Mathew was born and raised in London with a Portuguese background and now lives in Horsham, UK. He studied fine art and achieved a Foundation Diploma at Central St Martins Fine Art and Design and went on to get a BA (Hons) at the University of Creative Arts Farnham in Fine Art. His subjects mainly consist of sports and pop culture figures, from footballers, film stars to fictional characters with a style which derives from a more traditional painterly approach, but with a modern vibrant twist. He has worked on really exciting projects with some great people; UEFA, Bundesliga, Arsenal FC, Aston Villa FC, MOTD Magazine and deCoubertin Books to name a few.
